What really happens at USAF Tech School? Is it really like freshman year at a regular University?
My fiance has joined the USAF and will be in tech school in October. I have heard stories about wild and crazy, “Animal House” style parties, drinking, public sex, “barrack bunnies”, etc . Is there any truth to these stories? We are both kinda over all that crap, which is why he joined the USAF instead of staying at a traditional four year university. I trust him completely, I just don’t want him to have to deal with the same stupidity he is trying to leave.
In tech school drinking in the dorms is not allowed, sex is not allowed in the dorms, there is some sex in public places but usually not seen. Now once he gets to his permanent duty station all that changes. Drinking is allowed as long as your 21, you can have sex with who ever as long as its a m/f relationship, and neither person is married. Yes their are barrack bunnies but this varies base to base squadron to squadron and dorm to dorm. If he winds up in a dorm like that he can request to be moved. Also once you 2 get married and you move there to live with him your out of the dorms and into a house on base, or a apartment or house off base.
